Support Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Support Technician to join our team, primarily for providing support to our Web Hosting customers
The successful candidate will work as part of our support team, resolving issues and enquiries from hosting and server customers
You will be enthusiastic, driven and experienced within an internet and network environment
The role is based in our Cardiff offices and occasionally will require work from the datacentre

Key Features and Duties

Day to day tasks will predominantly involve providing support to web hosting customers
Responding to support requests via our support ticket system, telephone and e-mail and escalating enquiries or issues where required
Providing Remote Support to assist customers with issues
Monitoring systems for issues and performance
Updating Asset Management systems, including hardware inventory and IP address allocations
Basic maintenance activities within a datacentre environment, including racking servers, replacing or upgrading hardware, etc

Skills / Experience Required

This is a customer facing role - you must have excellent communication skills and be customer focused at all times
Must have basic knowledge of Linux (primarily) & Windows servers and their administration
You must be practical and able to methodically work to resolve issues
Must have knowledge of basic networking principals
Must have basic knowledge of DNS
Ability to work without supervision
You must be able to perform your own basic research for finding solutions to new issues
Experience of managing and upgrading common applications such as WordPress is beneficial
Basic knowledge of PHP and SQL an advantage
IT Accreditation such as MCSE, CCNA is desirable
Able to drive or willing to learn

Job Type: Full Time

Salary: £17,000 - £22,000 / year depending on experience

Office Administrator

About the role

We are looking for an office administrator to undertake general office administration duties.
You will be the first line of contact for visitors, customers and suppliers and will ensure that office procedures and processes are followed

Key Features and Duties

General office administration
Assist with purchase orders, invoicing and returns
Answering and directing telephone calls
Providing reporting and information to management staff
Arranging meetings
Managing stock lists and ordering office supplies where required
Responding to social media enquiries
Managing advertising publications to deadlines.

Skills / Experience Required

Exceptional Customer Service Skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work without supervision
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
Strong Prioritisation and Organisation Skills
Good research skills
Ability to multitask
Basic bookkeeping knowledge an advantage
